About the PAN Year in Review:
Since 2000, the Public Art Network (PAN) Year in Review has annually recognized outstanding public art projects through an open call submission and juror selection process. The PAN Year in Review annually recognizes outstanding public art projects that represent the most compelling work for the year. Selected jurors review hundreds of project applications and develop a “year in review” presentation of projects to honor during the Public Art & Placemaking Preconference of the Annual Convention. The PAN Year in Review is the only national program that specifically recognizes public art projects. The selected projects for each year will be uploaded to the PAN Year in Review Online Database and are available on the Americans for the Arts online store which includes a PowerPoint presentation with images of all of the selected projects and project information lists that are excellent advocacy and educational tools. Both temporary and permanent public art is eligible.
