City of Santa Cruz

The Santa Cruz City Arts Programs are overseen by the Arts Commission in coordination with the City Arts Program Manager. Appointed by the City Council, the seven-member board makes recommendations regarding the public art program and the establishment of regulations or guidelines which are necessary to carry out the purposes of the Percent for Art Ordinance. In 2014 the City also developed CruzCal.org - the Santa Cruz community's convenient and open calendar resource for all arts and cultural events. Event organizers can post their event information in one place while audiences, media, curated websites, and bloggers can easily import event information.
