Project Description
Centro San Antonio invites San Antonio area artists to submit their qualifications for a new Spurs-themed mural in the heart of downtown San Antonio at the corner of Navarro and Houston Streets on the Houston Street Garage.

A magical 50-year love affair has existed between San Antonio and our Spurs; Centro’s latest Art Everywhere Project intends for this new mural to be a physical manifestation of our community’s love and joy for the team. The goal is for a local artist to create an artwork that captures and celebrates this by shining a light on the way the Spurs consistently work hard every day to unite, positively impact and inspire our community.

The new “Por Vida” mural will be colorful, inspiring and articulate San Antonio’s ‘Spurs Passion’ while creating a sense of placemaking through its imagery and story. The mural should not focus on any one Spurs player, nor feature any images that may be deemed offensive or any commercial brand references.
This painted mural should be approximately 50 ft. high x 15ft. wide. The mural will be installed on the garage façade from the 2nd to 5th floors and will be viewed from the street and neighboring buildings. (see Exhibit A: Site Specifics)
