| Project Description From this call for qualifications, three artists will be commissioned to develop unique, site-specific concepts for sculptural public art for a roundabout in Iowa. The invited artists’ proposals will be required to include lighting integration and landscaping consideration. |

| Artwork Goals The goals for this artwork are to build on defined placemaking themes for a city in Iowa and create public art that contributes to memorable and joyful experiences in their community. Located in a roundabout, the final selected art will enhance the experience of being in and traveling through this city in Iowa. |

| Artwork Location Description Invited proposals will develop unique concepts for public art located in a roundabout in Iowa. Location specifics, site plans, and other details will be shared with selected artists as part of the invited commission to develop a proposal. |

| Eligibility This opportunity is open to artists living and working in the United States. Applicants must have a previous example of success producing and installing a piece of public art with a budget greater than $15,000. Applicants must have a previous example of public art that integrates lighting in effective and meaningful ways Individual artists and teams can apply. It is required that collectives and teams have worked together on a previous large scale project. If applying as a team, ensure it is clear in the portfolio that the group has worked together in the past. |

| Selection Information | ||||
| Selection Process From this call, a review committee of stakeholders will select three artists to develop commissioned proposals. From those proposals, one or more concepts will be chosen for implementation. |

| Selection Criteria Selected artists will demonstrate a strong track record including: + Large scale, outdoor sculptural/3D public art + Public art that integrates lighting and landscaping in effective and meaningful ways + Evidence of successfully developing, producing, and installing a project with a budget greater than $15,000 + Evidence of outdoor artworks that withstand weather conditions experienced in Iowa, which includes a full range from sub-zero temperatures, snow and ice, to rain, hail, high winds, high humidity, and 100°+ temperatures |
