| Project Description From this call for qualifications, three artists will be commissioned to develop unique, site-specific concepts for an outdoor public art sculpture for a senior living community in Iowa. The invited artists’ proposals will be required to include lighting integration and landscaping consideration. |

| Artwork Goals After invitation, the proposed artwork will expand upon the established placemaking themes of an Iowa senior living community. By integrating with the site’s lush and active natural environment, the installation will create memorable, joyful experiences for residents and visitors alike. |

| Artwork Location Description Invited proposals will be for outdoor public art located at a senior living community in Iowa. Location specifics, site plans, and other site details will be shared with selected artists as part of the invited commission to develop a proposal. |

| Eligibility This opportunity is open to artists living and working in the United States. Applicants must have a previous example of successfully producing and installing a piece of public art with a total budget greater than $15,000. Individual artists and teams can apply. It is required that collectives and teams have worked together on a previous large scale project. If applying as a team, ensure it is clear in the portfolio that the group has worked together before. |

| Selection Process From this call, a review committee of stakeholders will select three artists to develop commissioned proposals. From those proposals, one or more concepts will be chosen for implementation. |

| Selection Criteria Selected artists will demonstrate a strong track record including: Largescale, outdoor sculptural/3D public art Public art that integrates lighting and landscaping in effective and meaningful ways Evidence of successfully developing, producing, and installing a project with a budget greater than $15,000 Evidence of outdoor artworks in locations that include the weather conditions experienced in Iowa which range from sub-zero temperatures, snow and ice, to rain, hail, high winds, high humidity, and 100°+ temperatures. Preference will be given to artists with examples of completed works that integrate with nature in unique and meaningful ways. |
